The hotel is undergoing renovation ahead of the World Cup and the work could be heard on the 9th floor taking place on the 14thand started at 7am- the staff and listings do not disclose this so try and book a room around the 6th floor. The morning breakfast was also not good.

Hotel Granada was a good budget option for Carnival week in Rio. The facilities outside of the actual room are non existent no bar, gym, business centre etc but the rooms were clean and well equipped, the staff spoke good English and were helpful, the breakfast was nice.
